Pete Bowman

Pete Bowman started fishing at four years old. By his early teens, he knew he wanted to make it his life’s work. That determination led him to The Fish’n Canada Show, where his straight-talking style, deep knowledge of angling and easy connection with viewers have made him a familiar face on Canadian fishing television.

For Pete, sharing what he knows is as important as the catch. Whether he’s explaining a technique or swapping stories on the water, he brings the enthusiasm and humour of a fishing buddy. It’s why fans have always seen him as “one of the boys”—a connection he takes pride in keeping.

Away from the camera, Pete is an accomplished outdoor writer, photographer and speaker. His work includes fishing books, magazine and newspaper articles, and contributions to FishnCanada.com. An experienced tournament angler with numerous wins and top-ten finishes, he was inducted into the Canadian Angler Hall of Fame in 2012.

A strong advocate for catch-and-release fishing and outdoor education, Pete brings care and attention to every project. And when he takes a break from fishing for work, his favourite way to unwind is still to go fishing.
