Angelo Viola

Angelo Viola is one of Canada’s most recognizable voices in fishing and the outdoors. His lifelong passion for adventure has shaped a career as a television and radio host, producer and creative director, with The Fish’n Canada Show, Outdoor Journal Television and Outdoor Journal Radio at its heart.

An accomplished tournament angler and longtime advocate for conservation and catch-and-release fishing, Angelo was inducted into the Canadian Angler Hall of Fame in 2010. He is also a recipient of the DFO Conservation Award, reflecting a commitment to protecting the waters and wildlife that have defined his life’s work.

His contribution to fishing extends well beyond broadcasting. Angelo created the Walmart Kids Fishing Tour, published The Fish’n Canada News and co-invented the Rocket Fishing Rod. His production work also includes The Last Cull, a fishing reality television series.

A certified diver who also raced and finished the Baja 2000, Angelo’s appetite for adventure reaches far beyond the boat. Through it all, his outlook remains the same: “The best is yet to come!”
