Free Gas for your boat PDF Print E-mail

OK, OK, the Price of gas has skyrocketed and is now equal to a 500 ml, bottle of water at 7-11.
That's right..water!
So for all the doom and gloomers and anglers who can't afford to fill your tank or want to quit fishing cause gas is sooooo expensive...do a comparison to some of the things you waste your hard earned money on....
Which brings me to the real reason for writing this!

Ok here we go.....this is my personal opinion so don't get too offended if you fall into the following
"Waster of Gas" category.
At $1.14 a litre the price of fuel is threatening to keep all the Fishing Fanatics at home this summer...
Well guess what, the price is supposed to go up come June again...so fill your tanks now....THE END IS NEAR!!!

Hahahahaha!
If I had a nickle for every time I've listened to someone complain that gas is too expensive and they can't afford to fill their boat, I'd have enough money to fill my boat with gas twice a week.

NOW.........
If you got this far keep reading....I'll tell you how to save enough money to fill your boat with gas.
It's not a car pool or walk to work day or even using an electric lawn mower....

Every day I drive to the studio and I see the most incredible waste of resources in human history and shake my head at the Goons..."YES GOONS" who line up every morning and collectively waste more fuel and contribute to global warming more than any 3rd world country that is still Burning Coal!
I'd be willing to bet those same people who complain about the price of gas are the same Morons sitting in a 15 car line up at Tim Horton's every morning and have a boat at home with an empty gas tank!

That's right...all you Tim Horton's Drive through Junkies...get a grip....here are some interesting stats you should read...
If every driver of a light-duty vehicle in Canada avoided idling for just five minutes, we would save more than 2.5 million litres of fuel worth more than $2.85 million (assuming a fuel price of $1.14 per litre). Hmmm average time spent in a drive through.....5 minutes?

So....get off your @$$ put your cell phone down and park your gas guzzling S.U.V walk in the door order a coffee and start counting the day's till you can launch your boat and fish for the day with a full tank of gas in your boat!

For those of you who do not fall into this category...keep pinching pennies and buy a MotorGuide electric trolling motor.....more fishing less driving!
Coffee anyone?

No.1 I'll add to that!
Hey Mikey, I wanna' add something to your fuel/caffeine blog.

Lets say that each "pro-tour coffee drinker" that uses the drive through, pounds back a coffee a day, 5 days a week for around 52 weeks. Lets average that coffee to a medium size at around a buck & a quarter per. Already you've coughed up 325 beans in Java alone. Add to that a mere and conservative 50 cents in gas while waiting (probably more like a buck) which tacks on another 130. You now have a grand sum of $455.00! If you're running a 250 Optimax then it's only a few or so fill-ups but if you are feeding a 60 horse 4 stroke that's a lot of runnin' & gunnin'. Hell, I think you could troll the whole summer on that much gas!!!

Now I know coffee-a-holics aren't going to give up their morning buzz, however if you fit into the above description or exceed it, you best not be complaining about gas prices!
