Show Notes

Giant Northerns of Saskatchewan

Ang and Pete just returned from Tobin Lake in Saskatchewan with stories of maybe their greatest Pike fishing adventure ever. They caught more than enough fish to fill an entire Fish’n Canada episode with giant fish!

They hooked up with Smitty & Steve, the guys from Fishing Saskatchewan and set up camp at the awesome cottage at Prudens Point Resort.

Angelo stated that this show will be so good that it will blow your minds!!!!!

COLEMAN'S Let’s Go CAMPING in Algonquin

Join us each week as we talk Algonquin Park with ex–Superintendent John Winters and staff.

This Week: Bird Feeders

A bird feeder should be located about 6 feet minimum off the ground, you might want to use a baffle on the pole to keep the squirrels out of the food. Once you start, you should keep feeding, your new friends are hoping you will. And you should wash the feeder every 2–3 weeks on a mild day, to avoid disease.

What is a good universal food that has broad appeal? Black oil sunflower seed.

Now, a few of our feathered friends have gone south for the winter. The Ruby Throated Hummingbird is going 2500 miles to Costa Rica. This little guy weights less than 5 grams, less than a nickle and will beat his/her wings 25 million times on route. Unfortunately, little birds do not live to a ripe old age, perhaps about 2–3 years on average. So, we want to wish our little friends well on their journey— we want them to breed successfully so we have more friends next summer!
